Mindfulness-Based Eating (MB-EAT)
The Mindful Eating program is a powerful but gentle approach to addressing mindless eating that contributes to over eating, binge eating, weight gain, and stress related eating so common in our culture. Experience a new approach to eating, one not based on deprivation, but a program that helps to cultivate your inner wisdom, attuning to your own bodies needs. Experience the taste and pleasure of food more fully without over eating and release the guilt and struggle often associated with dieting. We learn to develop more natural and balanced relationship with food.
The six week two hour class program has it’s foundation in mindfulness. Mindfulness teaches present moment awareness, self compassion, and allows us to make healthier choices in our lives. The classes are held in a safe and supportive environment, conducive to learning new skills. Classes include instruction in mindfulness practices including meditation, gentle yoga, skills in managing emotional eating, and include scientifically based nutrition and exercise guidelines.
The practical tools learned in this class can help you be truly nourished by the food you prepare and eat.
